Copper Blues

When I'm given a challenge to play with something new, I usually need to study it and twist it this way and that to get the feel of it. This is probably why copper and I did not get along very well at first. Copper is not as crisp and responsive like the metals I usually play with. In fact, it sort of loves to curve and drop in coils and generally be gloppy...all stuff that was totally foreign to me.

But I think this piece helped me get the hang of it a little more.

(If you're wondering, yes, that's a reflection of me taking the picture in the glass blob. The camera was being very cranky!)
